The transliteration table below gives both a list of the characters that represent distinct phonetic values in Egyptian Hieroglyphs as well as example glyphs that represent the sound. Further, the order of the phonemes here represents the order in which sorted lists of Egyptian words will appear.

The symbols ȝ and ˁ are really kludges used to make up for the lack of a good aleph and ayin character.
