From The Glyph Project

The purpose of the Glyph Project is to create a dynamic and comprehensive reference to Egyptian hieroglyphs. Since this is a wiki, anybody can create an account and contribute. Though this project has been started to create a comprehensive reference for Egyptian hieroglyphs, it is intended by this that it will also cover other related linguistic issues, (words, languages development, demotic, coptic) and hence, it is appropriate to consider ancient Egyptian culture and history (mythology, politics, technology) as well.

A sizeable vocabulary database is currently being imported into the wiki. About 100 pages will be added and reviewed every week until the prepared content has all been imported. Once this is done, a database of hieroglyphs will be next.

Text Sources

• Ancient Egyptian texts Some of these texts come paired with images and hieroglyphs. I need to look into how free these texts may be. They are said to be old translations, which leads me to suspect that they are all being used by virtue of their being in the public domain.
• THE EEF GUIDE TO INTERNET RESOURCES FOR ANCIENT EGYPTIAN TEXTS Each text will probably need to be addressed separately with regards to whether or not it is in the public domain.
